What the buyer is requesting
Details
The Contractor is required to maintain all grassed areas within Council-owned cemeteries at Bowraville, Macksville, Nambucca Heads, Eungai and Argents Hill to a neat, safe and respectful standard. This includes regular mowing of grassed surfaces, cutting and controlling weeds around and within graves, monuments and boundary fences, and maintaining clear and tidy edges throughout the cemetery grounds as well as the cleaning of litter and debris within the cemeteries or surrounding area.

The scope also includes maintaining the grassed areas along roads, footpaths and street frontages adjoining each cemetery, ensuring a consistent and presentable appearance. All works must be carried out with due care to avoid damage to graves and memorials, minimise disruption to visitors, and comply with relevant work health and safety and environmental requirements.

Herbicides must not be used without prior approval. Approval will only be given by Greenspace Coordinator if proposed user has a current Chemcert Certificate.

Works are not to be conducted while services are being conducted within the grounds. Works schedules should consider specific dates for best presentation during high visitation periods such as Mothers day, Fathers Day, Easter & Anzac Day.

This procurement is to engage a contractor for the mowing and maintenance of the cemeteries at Bowraville, Macksville, Nambucca Heads, Eungai, and Argents Hill. The cemeteries are an important community space that require regular upkeep to ensure they remain safe, accessible, and respectful for visitors. Maintaining the grassed areas, controlling weeds around graves and boundary fences, and keeping street frontages tidy are essential to preserving the appearance and dignity of these sites.
