Details
Whitsunday Regional Council (Council) is seeking a suitably experienced, qualified and licensed Contractor to Design, Manufacture and Deliver two (2) modular amenity blocks at two of Council’s Sites (Works).

The Works package includes the following locations, with the requirements for each site detailed in Clause 2.1 of the Request for Tender Schedule 1 - Specification:

a) Dingo Beach Foreshore Amenities Block – Deicke Crescent, Dingo Beach Qld 4800; and

b) Collinsville Cemetery Amenity Block – Scottsville Road, Collinsville Qld 4804.

The Works will include the design, construction and delivery of the new amenity blocks including all disabled access requirements as described in the Australian Standards (AS) (including but not limited to new walkways & handrails to the exiting amenity blocks if required).

The Works are to commence in February 2026 and be completed by the end of May 2026.

Question:
Given the low access to sub-contractors and trades over the building shutdown period, along with staff leave in early January, please consider extending the submission date to 30 Jan 2026.

Council are agreeing to extend the Request for Tender closing time until 2.00pm, 23rd of January 2026. Due to the timeline of works to be completed, Council are unable to extend past that date.
