The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Tuckshop Refurbishment at Kawungan SS, located at Grevillea Street, Kawungan QLD 4655, as part of the Playground and Tuckshop Grant (PTG) program.

The current tuckshop is a single story building located in the middle of the school, offering close accessibility from the pick up/ drop off road. The refurbished building will include, but not be limited to, an extension of an external wall, new flooring, windows, screens and roller doors, stainless steel benches and sinks, tote tray storage, and dishwasher.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works

• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $1,000,000.00

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
