Question:
Hi

Could you please confirm the following

Clause 4.8.3 in page 30 asks for $20 million of professional indemnity insurance which is usually required for full design and construct. Is this correct or should it have said $20 million public liability insurance

Am I correct in assuming this is a schedule of rates contract only to build too existing council design specs and NOT a design and construct contract for the different shared path routes.

What is the volume of works that gets released, i:e: will a full shared path route of completely new works get released or will there be for example a $200k dollar value of various Maintenace / replacement works in various different street locations.

Clause 2.11 on page 11 asks for a contractor be licensed to carry out the work required which I assume to be a concertos license. Will council accept the director of the company having a NSW builders license which covers concreting works along with a whole range of other trades.

Thank You

$20 million public liability insurance is required as a standard requirement for this tender. Please submit all insurances that you currently have in hand. Not having professional indemnity insurance will not automatically exclude you from the tender process as all tenders are assessed on the quality of their overall submission. But please note that council has the right to accept or reject any or all submission(s) based on this clause.

This is a tender to establish a panel of approved concrete works providers and is based on a schedule of rates. Any tenderer(s) that is successful may be required to provide a quote or contract price based on their schedule of rates for any engagement under this tender. Please note that getting on the panel does not guarantee works.

In general, this tender is only for capital works projects. Small or minor maintenance works are generally excluded, unless they form part of a larger capital works engagement. The value of works is variable but can range from $100K upwards per engagement.

Any licence that will allow the carrying out of concrete and paving works under NSW Fairtrading or mutual agreement rules for interstate licence holders is acceptable. This may include a general concreters' licence or a builder's licence. The tenderer(s) would be required to show recent examples of similar concrete and pavement engagements successfully completed with client references. It is highly preferred that examples and references are from local or state government.
