Council (the Principal) is seeking Expressions of Interest from appropriately qualified and experienced architects, landscape architects and urban designers who are recognised in their profession and have demonstrated experience and knowledge in urban design, architecture, landscape architecture and sustainable design to join the Bayside Design Review Panel.

Members of the Bayside Design Review Panel should also possess the relevant skills and experience to provide constructive, practical, independent expert advice to applicants as well as government authorities.

All requirements are presented in the attached documents.

The Bayside Design Review Panel will provide independent expert advice to improve the design quality of major developments. Bayside Council is seeking architects, landscape architects, and urban designers with strong professional experience to join the panel. While no guaranteed workload is offered, members will assess projects under SEPP 65 and the Bayside Local Environmental Plan 2021, focusing on achieving design excellence, high-quality architecture, strong public domain outcomes, and appropriate integration with the surrounding context.

The Design Review Panel will assist applicants to ensure the developments meet the requirements under the Bayside LEP and Bayside DCP by providing a high standard of design expertise in a manner that adds value for both the applicant and the Council. The result is faster assessments and a higher quality of well-designed buildings within appropriate context.
