Council has an objective to protect, maintain and enhance the quality of City of Greater Dandenong’s natural environment, streetscapes and landscapes, and to provide for the responsible management of its streets and open space areas including:

• Parks, Road Reserves and sports grounds;

• Playgrounds;

• Public open spaces in shopping centre precincts and community buildings;

• Other public places;

• Natural Remnant vegetation sites; and

• Recreational facilities.
