On the 12th May 2016 Ashfield, Leichhardt and Marrickville councils were merged into a new council, known as the Inner West Council, by the NSW State Government under their reform program for councils. The proclamation from the NSW State Government carries over the codes, plans, strategies and policies of former councils, and makes them the codes, plans, strategies and policies of the new council. This is to ensure that the new council continues to have codes, plans, strategies and policies in place to guide its operation.

The buyer has elected to have their personal and contact details hidden. These details will be revealed at the buyers discretion.

Inner West Council invites suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to provide Design & Construct (D&C) services, including all design, certification, construction, commissioning, and handover of the amenities building renewal and landscaping to Tender for the Design & Construction of Birchgrove Park Amenities Renewal.

Birchgrove Park, also referred to as Birchgrove Oval, is in regular use by local sporting clubs, including the Balmain & District Football Club, Balmain and District Junior Rugby League Club, and Sydney Cricket Club.

Architects Stanning Harding has documented an architectural concept plan, 50 % detailed design for structural works, hydraulic services and landscaping.

Tender issue 100% detail designs for kitchen Joinery only and electrical services are under documentation and will be issued as an Addendum to the RFT before close of tender.

A Contractor is now required complete all design, issue for-construction drawings, and complete renewal works to the amenity and associated landscaping.

The work must proceed from September 2026 through to March 2027 when reliance on the amenity is less.

A mandatory Industry Briefing is scheduled on Site 10:00am for 10:15am start, Tuesday 9 June 2026 at Birchgrove Oval, Rose Street, Birchgrove.
