The Balonne Shire is located in Queensland on the New South Wales border some 500 kilometres
from the east coast of Australia and has an area of 31,119m2. A region of surprising diversity and

Balonne Shire Council would like to invite bids for the temporary transfer of 750ML of CAP from the St George Water Supply Scheme for the 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026 water year.

The available CAP will be offered for purchase in three lots of 250ML. Interested parties are invited to submit their bids for one or more of these individual lots, based on their water usage requirements.

Bids are to include:

• Offer expressed in $/ML

• Quantity expressed in ML. Note: this may be in lots of 250ML up to 750ML.

• Sunwater Customer Account ID and Water Account ID.

• Council has a reserve price per ML.

Applications will be assessed based on the best return for Council.
