Details
Mount Alexander Shire Council (MASC) is committed to upgrading, maintaining and rehabilitating infrastructure in an efficient and timely manner. The existing drainage network contains both overland and piped stormwater drainage.
In 2022 Mount Alexander Shire experienced heavy rainfall resulting in localised flash flooding throughout the shire, with many areas identified for improved drainage.
The storm water catchment in Farnsworth Street is initially captured by the underground drainage network before it then outfalls via an overland flow path towards View Street/Forest Street.
The objective of this construction project is to improve the underground storm water connection along a section of Farnsworth Street, View Street and Forest Street. Drainage designs have been completed for the drainage connection and kerb construction.

Regarding the pavement reinstatement / batter area on the northern portion of Forest St with B2 / Modified B2 Kerb, has this been excluded from the tender?
C-500 on the drawings has been labelled as "NOT IN CONTRACT", just wanted to clarify if we were to include this area in our pricing.

The kerb section shown in plan C-500 is part of Stage 2 works and is to be excluded from the pricing.
The Scope of this project and contract is for Stage 1 works only - the extent of works for Stage 1 is shown in plan C-001 and detailed further in the Project Brief and General Specifications.
