The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority is responsible for: (a) investigating and planning for potential venues and villages, and related infrastructure, for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Redland Whitewater Centre (RWC or RWC Project) will be a premier purpose-built venue for canoe slalom, whitewater recreation and rescue training, providing a world-class facility for elite competition and training, emergency services training and community recreation. Located in the Redlands Coast region, the venue will serve as a key Games facility and a lasting legacy for the broader South East Queensland community. Planned to host the Olympic canoe slalom events, the Redland Whitewater Centre will be designed to meet international standards while offering flexibility for training, community recreation, and emergency services training use before and post-Games.

The development of RWC Project will deliver significant upgrades to local infrastructure and amenities, establishing the RWC as a destination for water-based sports and outdoor recreation. As a legacy of the Games, the facility will attract national and international events, promote tourism, and provide enduring social, economic, and environmental benefits to the community.

Step 2 - Download Eligibility Questions for Registration Sheet

Step 3 - Execute Procurement Deed and answer Eligibility Questions for Registration Sheet.

Step 4 - Email completed documents to GIICA via procurement@giica.au (DO NOT SUBMIT THESE DOCUMENTS VIA Q TENDERS/VENDOR PANEL)

GIICA will review documents received and if you qualify, GIICA will invite you to the EOI Process via Q Tenders (Vendor Panel).

GIICA is aiming on releasing the EOI for this process on Tuesday, 16 December 2025.

The Registration process for this EOI will close at 5PM, Friday, 19 December 25.

Please note the closing date of the ITO cannot be extended, so early responses to the registration process are encouraged to maximise your response time to the ITO.

GIICA is issuing this EOI with the following objectives:

To identify and shortlist suitably qualified Principal Consultants (and Specialist Whitewater Consultants as Sub-consultant) with the expertise to deliver the required services and develop innovative solutions that meet the Principal’s Games commitments, venue requirements, and core project priorities;

To ensure high standards of probity, transparency, and compliance with all relevant government and operational policies;

To maximise commercial, social, and local benefits through the delivery of the project; and

To facilitate the shortlisting of candidates through the EOI process, with selected parties being invited to participate in a subsequent Invitation to Offer (ITO).
