The Gladstone Region is located in Central Queensland, approximately 550 kilometres north of Brisbane and covers an area of 10,500 square kilometres. With two of the world’s largest alumina refineries, Queensland’s largest multi commodity port and a number of other major industrial giants sited locally, the Gladstone region is known for its employment opportunities and skilled workforce.

Gladstone Regional Council (GRC), through the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre (GECC), is seeking to undertake rectification and upgrade works to the venue's stage 34 Line Set counterweight system and associated stage machinery. The proposed works are intended to address the identified defects through replacement and rectification of counterweight system components, together with replacement of the existing Panorama Bar hand-winch systems with electrically operated chain hoists.

GRC will hold a briefing meeting on Wednesday 4 November 12pm AEST.

In person attendance at the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre (GECC), 56 Goondoon Street, Gladstone QLD.

It is mandatory for tenderers to attend the briefing meeting in order to submit an offer.

See Section 1.3.9 of the Invitation to Tender document for further information.

Details of full names and contact details of attendees must be emailed to contracts@gladstone.qld.gov.au by 4pm 2 business days before the Briefing Meeting.

Attendees will be required to sign in, as evidence of the tenderer’s attendance at the briefing meeting
