Nambucca Valley Council is seeking suitably qualified & experienced tenderers for the Design & Construction of a water main renewal associated with the Little Motleys Bridge Replacement. The Contractor is responsible for the design development and installation of a replacement Trunk Main using HDD techniques as well as inter-connection works at both ends. Integration with the Principals concept design and coordination of Engineering design disciples.

The works included in the Contract comprise the provision of all that is necessary for the complete and proper construction, testing and commissioning of the following, in strict accordance with this Specification, the accompanying Drawings and such other drawings and standards as may be issued from time to time during the progress of the works.

The scope of works includes, but is not limited to the following:

• Develop concept designs to enable an effective HDD installation beneath Bowra Creek.

• Supply, construct and commission a water trunk main and all associated connections, valves and fittings.

• Design and construct interconnections at each end of the main including one isolation valve at each end. Valves to be 450 diameter geared valves with Clockwise Closing convention.

• Supply, construct and commission of a water trunk main high level scour pit near the eastern connection.

• Reinstatement of existing surfaces where affected by construction activities.

• Carry out earthworks as required to provide adequate drainage at each site post construction.

• Documentation of the works, and

• All other civil works necessary for satisfactory operation of the water network.
