What the buyer is requesting
Details
Balranald Shire Council invites quotations from suitably qualified contractors for the assessment, surface correction, resealing and remarking of the sealed runway and taxiway at Balranald Aerodrome.

The objective of this project is to improve pavement condition, rectify ride quality concerns, address localised ponding issues where practical, extend pavement life and reinstate all required aerodrome markings in accordance with applicable aviation standards. The aerodrome's runway and taxiway have undergone periodic crack sealing over recent years, and Council has identified surface irregularities, rough ride characteristics and localised water ponding requiring investigation and treatment.

All aerodrome markings shall be reinstated in accordance with the applicable requirements of Part 139 (Aerodromes) Manual of Standards 2020 and relevant guidance material issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
