Question
:
Are you wanting one company to do the whole scope of work? Or are we able to tender on relevant sections of the scope?
Answered on 21/Nov/2025 12:49 PM
:
Hi,
Thank you for your enquiry.
The ‘Scope’ in ITO SOA Part A is a catchall of all the potential services that may be required by the various Hospital and Health Services (HHS) in Queensland. Each HHS may have different requirements for work items across their facilities. If a tenderer for example can only offer some of the items listed in the scope, they are still encouraged to tender as they still potentially offer services required by individual facilities within HHSs.
In the ITO Part D of the tender package, tenderers can provide pricing for which items they can offer and provide nominations for which locations they can service.
Regards,
David

Question
:
Request for Further Information – High Voltage Electrical and Protection Equipment - Service Maintenance
Hi David,
We note the Technical Specifications ES22 – Switchboard General (below 1000 VAC) and ES19 – Lightning Protection System have been provided.
To enable us to prepare an accurate and comprehensive submission, could you please provide the technical specifications for the following scope items:
• High Voltage electrical and protective equipment maintenance services
• Protection equipment testing and calibration
• Earth grid testing
• Transformer inspection and testing
• Oil analysis testing
Switchboard Thermal Scanning
Technical Specifications ES22 – Switchboard General (below 1000 VAC) refers to carrying out Thermal Scanning under Technical Specification ES02 - Switchboard Thermal Scanning. Could you please provide this technical specification.
Asset Registers / Previous Reports
To assist with pricing and methodology, it would also be highly beneficial to obtain asset registers or any previous inspection/maintenance reports that outline the quantity, type, make and model, and location (by region/area) of the following equipment:
• HV protection equipment
• LV & HV generator protection equipment
• HV switchboards / RMUs
• HV transformers
Provision of these documents will enable a more accurate assessment of the required resources, maintenance methodology, and associated costs.
Please let us know if any of the above is not available, or if further clarification is required.

(edited on 21/Nov/2025 02:13 PM)
Hi,
Thank you for your enquiry.
No further technical specifications have been provided by our stakeholders as it is a general pricing request for work under ES22 (3 monthly & once annually) and ES16 (2 yearly). No asset or previous reports are available as this is a statewide tender process and individual hospital assets/ report details are not provided.
On ITO SOA Part D we request pricing for ES22 and ES16 as a general cost to perform the service at the intervals as they are listed. We also ask for additional service costing and hourly rates of Technicians etc so if a tenderer is successful in being awarded a contract the individual Hospital and Health Services (HHS) can then request for a detailed quote on their individual requirements/specifications to them.
Once the SOA has been stood up, HHSs will be able to seek Request for Quotes from the successful suppliers. In these requests the HHSs will be able to provide more detailed information on their specific needs, including equipment lists, maintenance schedules and service locations.
Regards,
David
