Question:
Can you please provide clarification on the below queries:

1. Areas 12, 13, and 14 are not listed on the Part C pricing returnable...are there any scope of services to be done/allowed for within these zones?

2. Are the nominated storage containers listed (1-4), provided for by QP, and for the contractor sole use? Does any cost/rent for these need to be allowed for?

3. Herbicide treatment (March) is mentioned in the scope, does include broadleaf weed control to all turf areas, if so, which schedule should this be priced against?

4. Ad Hoc rates (as listed in Part B - Resource Rate Card), to be provided in our returnable? It is not listed in the Part C Pricing Returnables?

5. Please provide clarification as to what is required for "Minor outdoor pest control such as mosquitoes and ants must be provisioned to maintain the appearance and amenity of the grounds", per Part B, Schedule 1? Is this part of the contacted works or to be done on an Ad Hoc basis? Please clarify where this pricing should be provided, if required?

Response: These zones are not in the scope of this arrangement.

2. Are the nominated storage containers listed (1-4), provided for by QP, and for the contractor sole use? Does any cost/rent for these need to be allowed for?

Response: The nominated area is provided for the sole use of the contractor. There is no fees or charges for using the storage containers & area.

3. Herbicide treatment (March) is mentioned in the scope, does include broadleaf weed control to all turf areas, if so, which schedule should this be priced against?

Response: Yes this includes broadleaf weed control to all turf areas. This activity can be priced as a separate line (added in the response) or included in the pricing for fortnightly/monthly maintenance in lines 1 and 2 of the Pricing Table. Alternative solutions can also be proposed and costed for evaluation.

4. Ad Hoc rates (as listed in Part B - Resource Rate Card), to be provided in our returnable? It is not listed in the Part C Pricing Returnables?

Response: The response should include the information shown in the Resource Rate Card. The Supplier can use the table provided in Part B or provide alternative format.

5. Please provide clarification as to what is required for "Minor outdoor pest control such as mosquitoes and ants must be provisioned to maintain the appearance and amenity of the grounds", per Part B, Schedule 1? Is this part of the contacted works or to be done on an Ad Hoc basis? Please clarify where this pricing should be provided, if required?

Response: Suppliers should include in their response pricing for managing routine ant/mosquito control activities to maintain appearance and amenity as part of the fortnightly/monthly activities. Non-routine, such as infestations or rapid population increases through unusual weather, will fall into ad-hoc work.

Will there be a tender briefing session held via teams or in person, to clarify questions pertaining to the scope of works?

Under supply equipment and consumables it mentions chainsaws. Does Queensland Police require that any people working for a commercial entity and operating chainsaws have appropriate licensing, insurances. and appropriate PPE for using this equipment.

Response: Zones 12,13 and 14 are not included in the ITO.

Response: There are two basins located at the rear of Zone 6 (furthest from Zone 1) Basin 1. approximately 325m2, Basin 2. approximately 500m2.

Response: The locations are not mapped separately. There are 24 in total with a combined length approximately 680 metres.

Response: All movements are to be in accordance with relevant legislation. There is no additional requirement specific to this site.

Response: Yes Fire ants have been detected on site. Supplier would be expected to report to Facilities Management location of fire ant nests (or suspected activity) as part of normal reporting function. Facilities Management will arrange action of treatment.

Response: QPS does not have specific gradient data for the land at the Wacol Police Campus. We recommend using the Qld Gov Topographic maps “Qtopo” Link to web site: https://qtopo.information.qld.gov.au/. QPS is inviting tenders based on the information published. As noted in the documentation, shortlisted suppliers may be invited to attend a site visit to better align their response.

2. Can growth regulator be utilised onsite within turf and vegetation?

Response: Suppliers should include any plans for grounds maintenance, highlighting potential benefits, in their response to be evaluated.

3. Can pre-emergent herbicide be used within applicable areas throughout site?

Response: Suppliers should include any plans for grounds maintenance, highlighting potential benefits, in their response to be evaluated.

4. Are spray lines currently used onsite around roadways, hardstand, assets, fences, trees etc. are can this continue?

Response: Yes, weed spray lines are used and this can continue.

5. Is there electricity provided to the storage facility?

Response: There are no power outlets at the 20foot shipping containers, there is a 240v power source available at the QPS Grounds Shed, which is 28m from the shipping containers. Use of power can be negotiated with the supplier.

6. Are green bins provided at QPS cost to manage green waste from vegetation pruning?

Response: ? The Wacol Campus has green waste bays on-site. All green waste can be disposed of on-site.

7. Are turf clippings to be collected and removed from site or can self-mulching mowing be utilised onsite? If clippings are to be removed will QPS managed and provide green waste bins?

Response: In consultation and agreement with QPS, ‘self-mulching’ can be utilised for most zones. Wacol Campus has green waste bays on-site. All green waste can be disposed of on-site.
